Hi all,

I am learning the tune Sugar in the gourd and looking at Youtube I saw Ryan Spearman's version. (Unfortunately I am not able to post a link here to the youtube video because I am new)

I liked it and tried to find the lyrics, but I could only find other lyrics of this song. So now I have two questions: does anybody know these lyrics, or did he make them himself? And can anybody help me with these lyrics? I am not a native English speaker and don't understand evenything he sings. I came this far but not everything is right:
